Press Club of Southwest Florida members Ida and Jeff Margolis will be honored by the Collier/Lee Chapter of Hadassah. This organization will recognize the couple “for outstanding community achievement” at a fundraising dinner on March 1, held at the Heritage Bay Golf and Country Club.
Jeff Margolis has served for three years as an elected governor on our NPC Board of Governors. He sits on the scholarship committee and last year chaired the ad hoc nominating committee. You may have seen Ida Margolis selling her children’s book, co-authored with another NPC member, Rhonda Brazina. Both Jeff and Ida Margolis have their fingers in multiple pies throughout Collier County, most of them philanthropic.
Hadassah, comprised nationally of 300,000 women plus many additional men associates, is an organization that supports Israel. Their major focus is the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem, which includes two hospitals. Hadassah is the second largest employer in Jerusalem. Membership in the Collier and Lee Chapter numbers about 900.
Any NPC members who have signed up for the Hadassah dinner who might be interested in joining several other members to sit together, email Rhona Saunders at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
