Jeff Margolis, a member of our scholarship committee, had a unique opportunity to lunch with one of our scholarship recipients, Melissa Gomez. Melissa recently graduated from University of Florida and is currently interning at The New York Times.
“I was in New York over the weekend and was able to have lunch with NPC scholarship recipient Melissa Gomez. We had lunch at Junior’s, a typical New York restaurant. She enjoys living in New York and is working very hard as in intern in the newsroom. Melissa said that she is grateful to the club for her scholarship, which helped her complete her studies at University of Florida. Melissa hopes to come to a Press Club meeting when she returns to Naples.”
