This is your personal invitation to join us Thursday, Jan. 14, at 1:00 p.m. for the taping of a Zoom press club Roundtable discussion about last week’s Capitol Hill Riot. Our guests include:
• Congressman Francis Rooney (R), Florida 19th Congressional District. (Recently retired after serving two terms 2017-2021).
• Grace Segers, CBS News Reporter. (She was covering the U.S. Senate and inside the Senate chambers when the riot occurred).
• Zak Hudak, CBS News Reporter. (He was covering the House side at the time of the attack).
We will discuss:
• The Capitol Hill riot and all of its repercussions
• The House impeachment vote (scheduled for Wednesday)
• Security concerns heading into next week’s inauguration
• The legal and political fallout from all of these events
Press club members Denise LeClair Cobb and Larry Doyle will join me in leading the discussion. Questions will also be taken from the gallery if time permits.
