The Press Club of Southwest Florida is committed to the development of young professional journalists in our region. In that spirit, entries are now being accepted for our fourth annual Young Journalist Awards.
Two winners — one broadcast reporter and one print reporter — will each receive a $500 cash award at the Press Club’s Awards Luncheon in December at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples.

Eligibility, Rules and Entry Fees
We are looking for young professionals with no more than five years’ experience who exhibit outstanding skills and rising potential in reporting hard news or features. Each interested qualified candidate should visit the website of the Press Club of Southwest Florida to fill out a Young Journalist Award Application. The fee is $15.00 per applicant, and a payment link is provided.
After applying, each candidate should then submit a resume and recent samples of his/her work to: Marqueeta Curtis-Haynes, YoungJournalistAwards@pressclubswfl.org.
–Broadcast Reporters/Video Journalists are limited to eight-minute demo reels that must include at least two complete field or studio-based packages and no more than a one-minute montage of standups.
–Print Reporters are limited to three published pieces or writing samples, one of which may be an online video version.
All materials must be received by October 1, 2020.
