You’ve become accustomed to seeing my “Your Board in Action” in our monthly SCOOP, but we didn’t hold a board meeting in December. So allow me to use this space to say I wish all of our wonderful NPC members a healthy, prosperous, peaceful 2014.
Many of you have already sent your 2014 dues (still only $50—biggest bargain in town) and member survey. Thanks for being prompt. If you haven’t, please try to get these to our treasurer, Connie Kindsvater, byJanuary 15. Call her for her new address — phone number in book still works. (Yes, in the midst of the holiday hub-bub, she moved! Poor dear.)
If you were unable to attend our December 5 holiday party and annual meeting, look elsewhere in SCOOP for Helene’s article about it. I’ll resist the temptation to demand to know why you missed it.
Our brand-spanking-new Authors & Books Group will hold its organizational meeting at noon on January 9. Contact Nancy Poffenberger for details. She’s in the member book.
Our first board meeting with the newly elected members (in alphabetical order: Ann Cardamone—Secretary; Jeff Margolis—Governor at Large; Helene de Neergaard—PR Chair) will be held January 9. If you can think of anything we need to discuss, please let me know ASAP.
