The theme of the Press Club’s April 9th Newsmaker luncheon will be “An Insider’s Look at NCH’s Future.” NCH’s Chief Impact Officer, Mara Hammond, will give us a peek at the strategic vision and transformation underway to dramatically advance healthcare for Southwest Florida. As Chief Impact Officer, Hammond’s job is to see and develop a strategy to meet the needs of our area.
The goal is not without its challenges.
Our area is growing rapidly, which is placing increasing demands on services and the need for more physicians and nurses. New technology and services unavailable in SWFL require the medical community to anticipate and be ready for the complex changes the future will bring. Hammond will discuss how philanthropy will power much of the new complex, specialized care, and medical technologies. In addition to a look into the future, Hammond promises to “break some news” during the luncheon about a gift that will accelerate an essential new product. Hammond will also close her discussion by answering questions from Press Club members and local media.
Lastly, we’ll learn about Mara Hammond’s fascinating journey to become NCH’s Chief Impact Officer. Her story will interest us all.
