Press Club of Southwest Florida authors presented their books at the Collier County Public Library’s first-ever Author and Book Fest on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the South Regional Library.
The event organized by Patricia DeGroot, administrative supervisor, included 38 local authors. Authors participated in half-hour lectures, sold and signed books from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Authors and visitors were all thrilled by the response of this new event in Naples. The library system plans to make it an annual event.
“We received fantastic comments,” said Pat DeGroot, “from the attendees and the authors, who said they appreciate the recognition and even the respect for the local author community.”
