Our dear returned NPC members, Basha and Jeffrey, have consolidated their long experience in the field of relationship dynamics to provide seekers with hope and practical advice. How does one find a “nurturing and loving life partner?” This book, with its buoyant wisdom, realistic case studies, and carefully designed step-by-step advice can change one’s life. The inclusion of their own personal stories builds readers’ trust and comfort.

OTHER NEWS:

Two of our NPC members have recently published books for children.

Past president Joan J. Curley’s Malcolm, the Muscovy Duck of Naples, Florida, released by Barringer Publishers and beautifully illustrated by Sam Platt, reveals to its very young audience the benefits these somewhat ugly creatures bring to our community. Appearances are often deceiving, and that’s a good thing for youngsters to learn. The information is charmingly related by Malcolm Muscovy himself, who describes his lifestyle, habitat, and favorite Naples hangouts.

The Legend of Charter Oak, by Cynthia Bercowetz with illustrations by Debbie Tosun Kilday, is published by Strong Books. Young readers will learn some fascinating local history and lore. The premise is that Grandpa Herman is telling the tale to two grandchildren, who learn about the place of the tree in history and the important pieces of furniture eventually made from it. The tale is broken up into effective bite-sized chapters, just right for young listeners and readers.
