Continuing an annual tradition since 2001, the Press Club of Southwest Florida will once again award journalism scholarships to deserving Florida students who have applied for the scholarships and met the requirements.

Two new students who applied and were interviewed by members of the scholarship committee will receive 2025-26 journalism scholarships. Congratulations to:
- Samuel (Sam) Brucker, a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University
- Mallory Amos, a freshman at the University of Central Florida
Sophia Lowrie
Jake Marks
Two continuing scholarship students receiving 2025-26 journalism scholarships are:

- Sophia Lowrie, a junior at South Florida University-St. Petersburg
- Jake Marks, a sophomore at the University of Southern California
Students applying must meet the necessary requirements: to major in the overall field of journalism studies, be full-time students, and academically maintain at least a “B” average.
