Our members have been the soul and spirit of the Press Club of Southwest Florida since the club was founded nearly 28 years ago. Your expertise and enthusiasm continue to help us support freedom of speech, the First Amendment, and current and future journalists.
There are a variety of opportunities to become more involved and support our 110-member club, the only one of its kind in the state of Florida. These include:
- Serve on the board of governors.
- Join a committee (program, PR, scholarship, fundraising, membership).
- Write articles for SCOOP (our weekly e-newsletter, distributed on Wednesday morning).
- Recommend the press club to a friend or colleague.
If you are interested in joining the board, a number of positions will be available for the 2025 term. A nominating committee is being formed to develop the 2025 slate of officers and recommend new at-large board members. Nominees will be voted on at the annual meeting in December.
