Biographical Info
I’m Robert S. Turk, but better known as “Bob Turk.” I started at WJZ-TV CBS in Baltimore in 1973 and just retired last fall. I have a Masters Degree in Geography from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I was the on-air meteorologist and made hundreds of school appearances to teach students about weather. I received a silver circle Emmy award and have been an AFTRA-SAG member since 1973. I have seen the complete transformation of local television news over the past five decades. I also have a cochlear implant and believe I was the only main anchor with such a medical device. Thanks for your involvement in journalism.
