Rick is a retired investigative reporter and magazine editor. He started two magazines and edited a third. He is now a novelist. He divides his time between Ft. Myers Beach and Fredericksburg, VA.

He is a member of the FOLIO 100 — the 100 most influential people in magazine publishing and was a finalist for editor of the year in 2015.

He started writing fiction in 2011 and has three novels published, Naked Ambition (bestseller), Naked Truth and The Apprentice. 

Rick is a member of the International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, The Author’s Guild, The Gulf Coast Writers Association, The American Writers Museum and the National Press Club. He has started three writer critique groups and an authors semi-annual dinner group.

Rick is an ardent Parrothead. He likes nothing more than a cold beer, sunshine, sand between his toes and a great Padron cigar.
