Kate Cimini is a bilingual journalist with reporting experience in various regions of the U.S. as well as Europe, Canada, and South America. Since August 2022 Kate has been the Florida Investigative Reporter for the USA TODAY network, which includes The News-Press in Fort Myers and the Naples Daily News. Prior to that, she was an investigative and enterprise reporter in California covering agriculture and inequity across the state for the same network and for the nonprofit newsroom CalMatters. There, she won Best of the West and a National Press Foundation award for inequity and agricultural reporting.
