An almost-native Floridian, Joanna DiCarlo Wragg has lived in Florida since age 7, attended public schools in Orlando, graduated FSU and has an M.A. from University of Miami.

A high-school and college journalist, she detoured through teaching and social work to become a professional newspaper staffer in her late 20s, retiring from The Miami Herald as Associate Editor (opinion pages).  She and her late husband, Otis, owned Wragg & Casas Public Relations with partner Ramon Casas until retiring to Bonita Springs in 2012.

Still a communicator, Joanna now heads the communications team for St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on Bonita Beach Road and volunteers at The Literacy Council of the Gulf Coast.
