Jeff Bruce’s most recent failure at retirement saw him serving as managing editor of the Naples Daily News for two years.
Now he is devoting his time to writing novels and photography. Earlier, he was the journalist in residence at Wright State University and the former editor of the Dayton Daily News and editor-in-chief of Cox Ohio Publishing.
Jeff was editor and managing editor of several Cox newspapers during a 35-year newspaper career including, in addition to Dayton, the Tribune Newspapers in suburban Phoenix, the Longview, Texas News Journal and the Austin American-Statesman. Jeff’s newspaper experience also included roles in various editing and reporting positions at the Miami Herald, the Palm Beach Post, the St. Petersburg Times and the Tampa Times.
He also served as press secretary to a Florida congressman.
