A native Philadelphian, David now lives in Bonita Springs with his wife, Dottie.

In the 1960s and ’70s, David worked as a writer and editor for newspapers in Lancaster and Reading, PA. He later worked as chief executive officer of his family importing business, a career that included extensive foreign travel. He circumnavigated the globe six times and now serves as vice president of the historic Circumnavigators Club, founded in 1902.

He is editorial director for the Club’s publication, The Log, which has been published since 1910.
