Bob Orr spent 42 years in broadcasting before retiring as CBS News Justice Correspondent.

At CBS Orr covered 14 major air disasters and led the network’s coverage of terrorist attacks and major law enforcement events including: the crash of TWA 800, Columbia Shuttle Disaster, Boston Marathon bombings, Sandy Hook school massacre, death of Osama bin Laden, and the September 11th attacks.

For 9/11 Orr was a key contributor to the 93 continuous hours of historic CBS News coverage.

Orr received four national Emmy awards and DuPont’s 2014 Silver Baton.

Before joining CBS Orr spent 20 years as a local reporter in Wheeling, WV, Philadelphia, and Columbus, Ohio.

At WBNS in Columbus, Orr anchored one of the nation’s premier local newscasts and he helped authorities end the deadly 1993 prison siege in Lucasville, Ohio.
