Media Mixer Delights Attendees with Colorful Artwork

It was unanimous: Press club members and news media friends who attended the club’s Media Mixer Tuesday, Feb. 20, all agreed the event was delightful, thanks to Rachel Pierce. Rachel hosted the event at her newest art gallery, filled with colorful paintings and accessories, all her own creations.

When club president Julie Pedretti was looking for a venue for the club’s winter media mixer, Rachel enthusiastically stepped forward to invite everyone to her second art gallery, located in the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. The success of her original gallery on Sanibel has been so encouraging that she was ready to expand and open her second location.

As you can see from the photos below, Rachel’s gallery is the perfect venue for club members and local media to gather for an evening of camaraderie.

Rachel was morning anchor for NBC-2 for many years before leaving the industry to pursue her passion for painting full time. Rachel is also a longtime friend of the press club, having served for several years on the board of governors and volunteering tirelessly as membership co-chair.

The Press Club of Southwest Florida thanks Rachel for opening her gallery – and her heart – to the club and news media friends. Memories made at the media mixer were many, and we look forward to future events with her.
