Event #2 Feb. 2. Mass Shootings and Other Crises: Preparing for and Communicating the Unthinkable

Please join us at the Hilton Naples on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, to hear Retired Police Chief Kristen Ziman’s riveting story of leading her police department through a mass shooting.

Chief Kristen Ziman

She will walk you through the mass shooting incident that happened under her watch in Aurora, IL. She will highlight other high-profile events, such as the Uvalde, TX, school massacre, through the law enforcement lens of crisis management and media. She is also the author of “Reimagining Blue: Thoughts on Life, Leadership, and a New Way Forward in Policing,” a passionate and personal memoir of a misunderstood profession through the vantage point of a female police chief.
