Highlights from December 1 Annual Meeting and Raffle

Members and guests enjoyed the December 1, 2022, annual meeting of the Press Club of Southwest Florida held at Hilton Naples.

During the annual meeting portion of the luncheon, members approved the following slate of nominees to the Board of Governors:

Officers: Julie Pedretti, continuing as President for 2023; Bob Orr, continuing as Vice President-Administration for 2023; Tom Marquardt, continuing as Secretary for 2023; and Bill Butler, continuing as Treasurer for 2023.

Current Governors to Continue for New Term 2023-2024: Karla Wheeler, Membership Chair and SCOOP Editor; Connie Kindsvater, Scholarship Chair; Phil Beuth, Governor-at-Large; Chris Cifatte, Governor-at-Large; Marqueeta Curtis-Haynes, Governor-at-Large; Sandra Dee, Governor-at-Large; and Gregg Ramshaw, Governor-at-Large.

Current Governors Continuing: The newly approved nominees above join these governors whose terms are continuing through 2023 — Rhona Saunders, Press Club Co-Founder and Governor-for-Life; Jill Jaffe, Program Chair; Mark Young, Communications Chair; Joel Banow, Governor-at-Large; Frank Cipolla, Governor-at-Large; George Lehner, Governor-at-Large; and Jeff Margolis, Governor-at-Large.

Raffle Raises Funds for Scholarship Fund

Members and guests in attendance supported the Press Club Journalism Scholarship Fund by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes.
