Nov. 3 Luncheon and Nov. 10 Media Mixer: RSVP Today!

Please RSVP today to attend two upcoming events in November.

Nov. 3 Luncheon: Opening of $66 Million Gulfshore Playhouse

When Gulfshore Playhouse premiers its $66 million state-of-the-art Baker Theatre and Education Center in the fall of 2023, it will be the first major cultural arts center to be built in Naples in more than 30 years.

Please join us on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Hilton Naples to hear Kimberly Dye, Gulfshore Playhouse Chief Advancement Officer, address the theatre’s leadership role in helping to transform cultural arts in Southwest Florida and its economic impact on the area. She will also offer a sneak peek into upcoming productions this season.

Kimberly is responsible for the professional theatre’s development and marketing teams and spearheads its capital campaign. Her background includes working in public broadcasting for more than a dozen years, building nonprofit organizations from the ground up, teaching at the university level, and serving as chief of staff to a university president.

Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will follow at noon in the Sabal Palm Room. Tickets are $45 for members and $55 for guests. We encourage you to pre-purchase your ticket on Eventbrite. Or to pay at the door, reserve your spot by sending an email to RSVP@pressclubswfl.org.

Nov. 10 Media Mixer: Honoring Journalists Covering Ian

We hope you will join us on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Shoeless Joe’s Patio, Crowne Plaza. 13051 Bell Tower Drive, Fort Myers, as the Press Club of Southwest Florida honors journalists and news directors who courageously covered Hurricane Ian and continue to keep residents of Southwest Florida informed about recovery efforts.

We salute their dedication, camaraderie, and bravery in conveying important news during this historic event.

Admission is free and includes one free drink and light snacks. Reservations are encouraged. Please email RSVP@pressclubswfl.org to let us know you plan to attend.
