Press Club of Southwest Florida’s President, Julie Pedretti, and her COVID-19 Response Team at Healthcare Network participated in numerous interview and information requests spanning over six months. Working with partners in Immokalee, the multilingual team has built trust, providing COVID-19 education, testing, and vaccines in neighborhoods throughout the community. Personal protective equipment (PPE) has been distributed to thousands, and those testing positive for COVID-19 have been connected to healthcare and social supports, including stipends and food while families quarantine. Healthcare Network’s mission is to provide primary care services to everyone in Collier County, regardless of income or insurance.
