Tamica-Jean-Charles
Following her graduation this summer from Florida International University-Miami, Tamica Jean-Charles applied for and received an internship with the Richmond Times Dispatch. The internship will be for approximately six months and she’ll be able to cover breaking news stories, along with other assignments.
“I got to Virginia and am loving the job,” Tamica writes. “Everyone at the office is super nice and I actually enjoy going to work each day. My first story is expected to be posted soon.”
Tamica was awarded a press club scholarship when she graduated from Naples High School in 2016, and she qualified academically to have the scholarship renewed throughout her college years.
