Scholarship Student Update

Tamica Jean-Charles

Good news!

Scholarship Student Tamica Jean-Charles will intern with PBS of South Florida next semester. as a production assistant with their food program, “Check, please!” She applied for the internship through her school’s internship coordinator. A 2016 graduate of Naples High School, Tamica will graduate from Florida International University, Miami, in May, 2020.

“This fall semester was hard for me,” she reported, “because I took three intensive journalism classes. I learned a lot. I still love journalism and now I’m more aware of what I need to do to succeed. Going forward, it’s just me putting everything I’ve learned into action.”
