Red Tide – The Economic Effects

Join us on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. for our Press Club of Southwest Florida luncheon at the Tiburon Golf Club.

Our newsmaker guests are:

Jack W. Wert, FCDME
Executive Director/CEO
Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB)
Jack has worked over 25 years in tourism marketing in Florida and holds FCDME certification. He is past Chair of Destinations International Accreditation Board and currently serves on its Advocacy Committee.

Past Chair of Florida CVB Association, and previous Visit Florida board member, Jack currently serves on the International Committee. He is also a member of advisory boards for Florida Gulf Coast University’s Resort & Hospitality School, and Collier County United Arts Council. Graduate of Miami University – Ohio, Jack earned a degree in marketing. He is a frequent presenter on advocacy, accreditation and strategic planning.

Sandra Stilwell Youngquist, CEO and owner of Stilwell Enterprises & Restaurant Group, owning six restaurants, an Inn and shopping centers based on Captiva Island.

She has been self-employed since she was 17 years old.

She is President of SWFL Children’s Charities (SWFL Wine Fest), on the board of directors of Hope Healthcare, Junior Achievement, is past president of Pace Center for Girls, sits on the board of trustees of Hodges University, on the Advisory Editorial Board of Gulfshore Life Magazine, Advisory Board of FGCU Resort and Hospitality School and on the Healthy Lee Advisory Board, a long-range planning group.  

Together, Jack and Sandra will give us a Newsmakers’ view of the economic effects of the lingering red tide blooms on the tourism, fishing and ancillary industries in Southwest Florida.

Buffet lunch served. Cost: $30 members, $40 guests, $10 students
