Four NPC scholarship students attended the Dec. 14 luncheon

All four scholarship students are doing well. Sarah Stauffer, a communications major, is looking for an internship to better her writing skills and experience different facets of the communication field. Melissa Gomez recently finished an internship with the Tampa Bay Times and will be editor-in-chief of the Alligator student newspaper at U of FL, starting in January; she plans to graduate in May. Shelly Westervelt loves the U of FL and plans to intern in London this coming summer. Maria Cortes will again host a Student Work Week during spring break in her hometown of Immokalee, with fellow Wartburg students joining her to work on community projects there; she’s also looking for a summer journalism internship.
