After many years of scheduling luncheons on the fourth Thursday of the month, last year the Hilton-Naples was not able to offer us that day. We switched to the third Monday, with less than stellar results. Since October, our luncheons have not been as well attended as we would expect with a membership of more than 180. The board felt we should look at other venues.
Three officers from our NPC board visited a new site that had been recommended to assess whether it would be a good “home” for our club. We were quite impressed with everything it offers; we hope you will be too. It’s the Tiburon Golf Club.
Here’s what we found:
A lovely meeting room to accommodate 50 to 130 with no problems. Adjacent outdoor seating for pre-lunch cocktail (not included).
Excellent food – with our usual choices for alternatives to main entree. Several of our members have dined there and let us know how much they enjoyed the cuisine, as well as the lush golf-course views.
Meal pricing will remain the same – $30 for members, $40 for all others. Salad, entree, dessert, rolls & butter, iced tea, lemonade, Arnold Palmer, coffee included. Alcoholic beverages available for additional charge.
They will comp lunch for our guest speaker (one), thus saving us a little money.
Podium and portable mic at no charge.
Complimentary valet parking (tip or not as personal choice).
Elevator for easy access to ground floor meeting room.
The golf club will also publicize our luncheons to BOTH Ritz Carlton resorts, so some of the hotel guests might come to our meetings open to the public. Knowing the caliber of the Ritz patrons, their attendance would add to our image. Our membership will surely grow and prosper at this beautiful upscale venue.
