Where are all of the political ads, candidates?

LEE COUNTY –In just one month from today, Florida voters will head to the polls for the presidential preference primary on March 15.
While Republican Donald Trump was in Tampa last Friday, many people are wondering where are the other candidates and all of the political advertisements are.
“In the next couple of weeks, we’re going to be inundated. It’s going to be a tsunami of material,” said Political Science Professor Dr. Laura Weir.
On Monday, Hillary Clinton opened six campaigns offices in Florida. Those offices are in Tallahassee, Tampa, and Miami to name a few. There are none in Southwest Florida.
Dr. Weir told members of the Press Club of Southwest Florida on Monday that Bush, Rubio, and others will be in the area in the coming weeks.
“Both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are going to try and make an impression here in Florida,” Weir predicted.
Political author of “Congress for Dummies” David Silverberg said Florida could be the make or break for some candidates.
“Rubio and Bush cannot afford to lose Florida. The humiliation of losing their native state to someone like Donald Trump is overwhelming,” he noted.
Silverberg predicts most candidates will be here during the week leading up to March 15, during early voting.
“You’ve got to get your supporters out that entire week,” Silverberg said.
But perhaps the bigger question remains — Is Lee County ready for the primary? Election Supervisor Sharon Harrington believes we are.
“We will be training poll workers in the next couple of weeks, and our equipment is tested and ready to go,” she said.
Hillary Clinton was scheduled to be in South Florida but opted to head to Nevada instead. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, campaigned for his wife on the East coast Monday afternoon.
