NPC Celebrates Southwest Florida’s Working Press

You busy people have space on your calendar for one more event during October, don’t you? Make it this one, the Press Club of Southwest Florida’s event saluting Southwest Florida’s working press.

Mayor Sorey 2Hosting this entertaining special event is John Sorey, Executive Director of The Naples Players (TNP).

Your calendar should read “NPC Salutes Working Press,” 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Tobye Studio at Sugden Community Theater, 701 5th Avenue South, Naples.

Admission is FREE for NPC members and one guest of their choice. Admission is FREE to any member of Southwest Florida’s working press whether or not they are active NPC members.

Reservations are required via email to RSVP@naplespressclub.org no later than Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Appetizers and beverages will be provided in addition to an informative question and answer session about The Naples Players, a backstage tour, and live entertainment. “The Little Shop of Guys and Dolls” is the title of the show to be presented by some of The Naples Players’ favorite actors: John McKerrow, Mary Ann McKerrow and someone going by the name of “Other.” You will recognize him as our own Vice President of Programs, Randall Kenneth Jones. That should tell you how much laughter is in store for us.

I’ll let John Sorey have the last word: “The Naples Players are delighted to host the Press Club as we are all in ‘show business.’ The press’s function is critical to keep our citizens informed. Join us for a special evening to learn more about the theatre, enjoy your fellow members and, most of all, have fun.”
